PROJECT 1 : GREEN-TO-GO 2017

Environmental issues have become a great concern for humankind at present time as these issues are affecting and will affect earth and us badly. This project is aimed to encourage students to use their talents to raise awareness of contemporary environmental and social issues. This project requires outside of classroom environmental issues exploration and textbook knowledge to encourage architecture students to do their part by producing short films that reflects these concerns and to be part of the change for a better world with their creative thoughts. The project also aims to enhance student’s creativity and confidence by providing them with an opportunity to express their findings through multimedia presentation. The short movie is expected to have impactful information, data, and graphic/visuals etc.

Task: Using the medium of film, and in two minutes or less and in a group of 6, we were required to raise an issue, pick a case and deliver a solution. The films should encapsulate one of the following major themes: environment or sustainable living. The films should be short, sharp, and provocative and up to 2 minutes. They should be original in concept, innovative and highly motivational (no restrictions have been set in terms of discipline or genre. The entries can be documentaries, fiction, animation or experimental art forms and etc.)
